1. Pre-Ritual Setup & Altar Preparation (Shuddhi)
Auspicious Timing: This puja is highly effective when performed during an auspicious morning or evening muhurat, especially on a Friday (the day associated with Venus, the planet of relationships) or during a Full Moon (Purnima).
Altar Setup: Thoroughly clean the designated prayer area. Set up a wooden platform (Chowki) and drape it with a fresh, clean pink or red cloth.
Deity & Yantra Installation: Position an image or idol of your primary deity (often Lord Shiva-Parvati or Radha-Krishna, who symbolize ultimate relational harmony). Placing an energized Aakarshan Yantra or Kamdev-Rati Yantra at the center of the altar is highly recommended to anchor the energy.
2. Initial Invocations & Sankalp
Lighting the Deepam: Light a lamp using pure cow ghee or chameli (jasmine) oil to establish a calm, srilanka-positive frequency in the room.
Ganpati Puja: The ritual always begins with prayers to Lord Ganesha to ensure that the ceremony finishes smoothly without any spiritual or physical interruptions. Offer fresh flowers, a sweet, and vermilion to his idol.
The Vishesh Sankalp (The Core Vow): The host holds a small amount of water, fresh flowers, and raw rice grains in their right hand. The priest recites your name, birth details, and family lineage (Gotra). You will then explicitly state your exact intention—such as healing a broken relationship, clearing a specific misunderstanding with a partner, or removing negative blockages in your social life. Drop the water to the earth to seal your vow.
3. Shodashopachara & Main Offerings
Abhishek: Gently bathe the deity or Yantra with Panchamrit (milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar) followed by clean water to purify the ritual environment.
Aromatic Offerings: Offer fresh red or pink flowers (such as roses or hibiscus), apply fragrant sandalwood paste (Chandan), and light sweet-smelling incense sticks (Dhoop) to attract elevating and loving vibrations.
Mantra Jaap (Chanting): The core energy of this ritual is drawn through intense mantra chanting. The priests (or you) perform repetitions of specific relationship-healing or attraction mantras using a Sphatik Mala (Crystal Rosary) or a Kamal Gatta Mala (Lotus Seed Rosary):
“Om Kleem Kamadevyai Namah” or “Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Aakarshaye Namah”
4. The Aakarshan Havan (Fire Ceremony)
Kindling the Fire: A sacred fire is kindled inside the Havan Kund using clean mango wood, camphor, and pure cow ghee.
Sacred Offerings (Ahuti): Special ingredients are prepared to drop into the fire to burn away ego, negativity, and emotional distances. This mixture traditionally includes Lotus seeds (Kamal Gatta), rose petals, white sesame seeds, pure ghee, and sweet food items.
With every offering dropped into the flames, the specific mantra is chanted followed by Svaha.
5. Bhog & Conclusion
Naivedya (Bhog): Offer fresh milk sweets (like Kheer or Peda), honey, and seasonal fruits to the deity and the holy fire.
Aarti: Stand up with your family and perform the main deity's Aarti using a ghee or camphor lamp.
Meditation & Focus: During the final moments, sit quietly in front of the altar, close your eyes, and maintain calm, positive, and forgiving thoughts regarding the specific person or relationship you wish to mend.
